The Technical Breakdown
While it shares its platform with the Toyota Highlander EV, Subaru “hot-rodded” the Getaway to deliver 420 HP and a sub-5 second 0-60 time. We explored the mechanical differences, from the balanced dual-motor Symmetrical AWD system to the 8.3 inches of ground clearance that sets it apart from its street-biased Toyota cousin.

- Power: 420 HP vs. Highlander’s 338 HP (Sub-5 second 0-60 MPH) – and even more of a gap than the Highlander’s FWD model’s 220 HP.
- Ground Clearance: 8.3 Inches with Dual-Mode X-MODE and Grip Control.
- Charging: Native NACS port for 25k+ Superchargers; 150-kW fast charging (10-80% in ~30 mins).
- Usability: 45.6 cu. ft. cargo space (beats Kia EV9) and a completely flat interior floor.
