2026 OVERLANDING SHOWCASE SPOTLIGHT: Hyrum Jackson and his 2015 Subaru Forester 2.5i 6MT

Hyrum has explored in his manual 2015 Forester in both the US and England over the past 4-5 years. He first started modding her after he got stationed in England and he found the Dollar $hort Club in his area. He off-roaded in England, Scotland, and Wales, keeping up with Jeeps and Land Rovers a like. He’s added a 2″ lift Anderson Design Fabrication, a rear differential TorqueLocker, Primitive Racing front skid plate and hidden winch bumper with a 5500lbs Badlands winch, an array of lights from Diode Dynamics, Auxbeam, KC, and Nilight, and 30.5″ tires (245/75r16 Centennial Dirt Commander M/T).

Since being back in the states, he has participated in the 24 Hours of Appalachia 500 mile Off-road Rally challenge. He didn’t complete it unfortunately due to atomizing his clutch, but he was able to replace his clutch in an Advanced Auto Parts store parking lot!

Hyrum is excited to keep exploring and pushing his Subaru to the limit!
