2024 OVERLANDING SHOWCASE: Subaru Ambassador Robert and his 2019 Subaru Ascent

An avid adventurer, known for his love of the outdoors, Robert takes his Subaru Ascent off the beaten path to explore the wilderness with Off Road Roos. He’s transformed his Ascent into a mobile basecamp, equipped with a hub tent or hammock for comfortable nights under the stars, a full fridge/freezer combo to keep provisions fresh, a stove and cooking bag for gourmet meals on the go, and an extensive array of rescue and recovery gear. With the Ascent’s generous storage space, he’s prepared for extended adventures, carrying enough supplies to last well over a week.

Rarely traveling with more than one additional passenger, he utilizes the extra room to support group outings, packing spare supplies, multiple tables, chairs, and canopies for creating a comfortable communal space. When overlanding, he also carries extra gas in side carriers, ensuring he can reach remote destinations, and are equipped with a comprehensive first-aid and trauma kit, plus a powerful 9,500-pound winch for assisting others in challenging off-road situations.

His passion for exploration and preparedness shines through in his well outfitted Ascent, a testament to his commitment to both enjoying and respecting the rugged beauty of the natural world.
